Lomma Beach House
About us
It started with kitesurfing in 2004. Today we run a restaurant, an ice-cream bar, watersports and events by Lomma beach.
How it began
Kite.se started on Gotland in 2004, founded by a few of us who wanted to teach people to kitesurf. In 2007 we came to Lomma beach. In 2011 we built new premises at Lomma Beach and the business was able to expand with a café, an ice-cream kiosk and a restaurant. We could now also host events and hire out SUP boards.
At the end of 2024 we took over the remaining premises from the windsurfing club. In the summer of 2025 we opened the Scoop ice-cream bar, and after renovating and rebuilding the entire restaurant premises we launched the Waikiki restaurant with tropically inspired beach food. That is roughly where we are now.
What we do
Waikiki
Beach Bar & Grill. Tropically inspired beach food made with fresh Swedish ingredients, with flavours from our travels to Brazil, the Caribbean and South Africa. Open from lunch until late in the evening through the season.
Scoop
Premium ice cream from Sia Glass in Slöinge. Around twelve flavours at a time, rotated through the season. Lactose-free and vegan options are always available.
Kite.se
A watersports school since 2004. Kitesurfing, wing foiling, kite foiling and SUP. Courses on the beach and camps to Brazil, Morocco, Denmark and South Africa.
Venue hire and events
Hire the whole Beach House for weddings, graduation parties, company days or private occasions. We can arrange food, bar and watersports activities as part of the event.
What we believe in
It all began in a surf bus on Gotland in 2004, and a few years later we put down roots by Lomma beach. Since then our passion for the sea and for surfing has grown into one of Sweden's largest watersports centres, on one of the most reliably windy spots in the country. At Kite.se you meet instructors who have worked with watersports for more than two decades.
Today we are more than that. Here you will also find the Waikiki beach restaurant, where we cook with the same love and passion we have for the sea. And in the Scoop ice-cream kiosk we serve premium ice cream from Sia Glass in Slöinge, a hundred kilometres from Lomma, made with 100 per cent Swedish dairy from their own cows.
We run Lomma Beach House as a place where people feel at home, both staff and guests, not as a machine. Lomma has always been a magical place to be. We hope you find your way here.
